The Johnson lab is a synthetic research group that is interested in answering questions that are at the interface of inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry. We are particularly interested in modular ligand design and conformationally flexible ligands, with a particular emphasis on aminophosphine ligands. Our discoveries will be used to improve the catalytic synthesis of molecules relevant to the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and the functionalization of molecules derived from petrochemical feedstocks.
